53: (sc2tog, sc in next 7sc) x9 (72)

54-55: sc in each sc around and end last round with ss in first sc.

Finish off.

Now, make three flowers for the crochet pixie hat by following my pattern below:

1: Start with a magic circle ch1 and work in 5sc. Pull the end yarn to close the circle and ss. Then, remove the hook and insert it in front of the first sc. Now, catch the loop and pull through.

2: *(ch1, 1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, ch1, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc) in same sc as ss. Remove the hook and insert it from the back in the same sc. Catch loop and pull through. Remove the hook and insert it from the front in the next sc. Then, catch the loop and pull through. Repeat from * in each sc but omit last pull through.

Finish off and tie the beginning and the yarn tails together, and then snip excess yarn.

I used white yarn for color contrast to stitch the flowers on the hat, but you are welcome to use any yarn color you like.

  1. Hi Agnes,

I love this pixie hat and I want to crochet one for my 6 month old great niece. Do you have suggestions on how I can modify the pattern to make it slightly smaller to fit 16-17 inch circumference?

    Thank you!
