Cut the yarn, leaving a longer tail, and pull the yarn through the stitch. Thread the yarn needle with the yarn tail and finish the round with an invisible stitch. Secure the thread on the back of the halo by stitching through the top loop of stitches.
To make the angel wings use the free angel wings crochet pattern from my previous post.
Now, assemble all the angel parts together.
Thread the yarn needle with the yarn tail from the body. Run the needle through the middle of the head a halo. Push the needle back into the halo, head, and body. But, make sure to leave a loop on the top. Make a knot with the loop right by the halo. Cut off the excess yarn close to the body.
Use a dab of hot glue to secure the head to the body and halo to the head. Hot glue the wings to the back of the body.
Finally, embroider eyes on the angel’s face.
I hope you enjoyed learning how to crochet an angel ornament and that my angel ornament crochet pattern was easy to follow. You can post pictures of your crochet angel on my Facebook page. I wonder what colors of yarn you will use?
Happy Crocheting!
