Mushroom Trivet Cover Crochet Pattern

Follow the mushroom trivet cover crochet pattern and learn how to crochet in rounds. The crochet trivet mushroom cover is a perfect fall crochet pattern idea!

Previously, I designed a sunflower trivet cover crochet pattern and a pumpkin trivet cover crochet pattern. My new mushroom trivet crochet pattern makes a perfect addition to a fall crochet pattern collection. To crochet kitchen accessories, I use 4 medium cotton yarns. My favorite is Lily Sugar’n Cream Cotton yarn, which comes in a wide array of colors. What you need for the sunflower trivet cover crochet pattern

Abbreviations:

ch – chain

sl st – slip stitch

dc – double crochet

sc – single crochet

st(s) – stitch(es)

1. using red yarn, make a magic ring, ch3 (works as a dc), work 11 dc into the ring, slst to the top of ch3 (12dc)

2. ch2 (does not work as a stitch), 2dc in the spaces between dcs of previous round, slst to first dc (24dc)

3. ch2, 2dc in the first space between dcs of previous round, dc in next space,

(2dc in next space, dc in next space) x11, slst to first dc (36)

4. ch2, (2dc in next space, dc in next 2 spaces) x12, slst to first dc (48)

5. ch2, (2dc in next space, dc in next 3 spaces) x12, slst to first dc (60)

6. ch2, (2dc in next space, dc in next 4 spaces) x12, slst to first dc (72)

7 – 8. ch1, sc in every st around, slst to first sc

9. ch1, *sc in next 3sc, sc2tog* rep around, sc in last 3sc, sl st to first sc

10. ch1, *sc in next 2sc, sc2tog* rep around, sc in last sc, sl st to first sc.

11. ch1, sc in every sc around, sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in the yarn tail to the left side of the cover.

Now, crochet white spots for the mushroom in three different sizes. Make as many mushroom spots as you want. After finishing making each spot, cut the yarn, leaving a long tail, and pull the yarn through the stitch. You’ll have the spots ready to sew on to the mushroom cap.

1. using white yarn, make a magic ring and ch1, work 10sc into the ring, slst to the first sc – that makes a small spot.

2. ch1, 2sc in every sc from previous round, slst to the first sc – that makes a medium spot

3. ch1, (2sc in next st, 1sc in next st) x10, slst to first sc – and that makes a big spot

I crocheted two small, two medium spots, and one big spot for my mushroom trivet cover. Hand-stitch the spots to the cover and put the cover on the cork trivet. Alternatively, you can hot glue the spots to the mushroom cap.

I hope you enjoyed learning how to crochet a cork trivet mushroom cover. You may also use the pattern to crochet a pumpkin coaster for your table. Please, share your crochet pumpkin trivet cover on my Facebook page or Instagram.

Happy Crocheting!

Love,

Agnes
