This DIY felt apple bookmark tutorial is a quick and easy craft idea. You can use scraps of felt from a previous project to make those fun felt apple bookmarks. I love crafting with felt fabric. It comes in a variety of colors, and it doesn’t fray. Follow a DIY felt apple bookmark, a step-by-step tutorial
Step 1. Download the free templates for a DIY felt apple bookmark from my library and gather all materials. Cut out the templates and cut all the pieces out of felt.
Step 2. Embroider the smile on the worm’s face using red thread and a straight stitch. Sew on the beads as eyes with black thread.
Step 3. Cut a 12″ long piece of cotton cord. Put a dab of hot or craft glue on the back of the embroidered worm piece and place the end of the cotton cord on the glue. Align and pin the other worm piece to the embroidered one, so the cotton cord is between the felt pieces. Using embroidery thread, whip stitch the pieces together.
Step 4. Put a dab of glue on one felt apple piece and place the other end of the cord on the glue. Place the stem and leaf between the felt apple pieces and pin all pieces together. Using embroidery thread and blanket stitch, stitch the apple pieces together. Finish off by making a knot on top of the last stitch. Then, push the needle between the felt layers of the apple and cut off the excess thread.
And there, you made a nice felt apple bookmark. You can make the bookmark with an apple with a bite and a green felt color. The templates for both apple bookmarks are in my resource library.
