This shrug crochet pattern is for a size S/M and 3/4 sleeves. To customize the size of the shrug, measure the length from one arm through the back shoulders to the other arm. Stand in the position with arms lifted sideways. This way, you can decide the length of the sleeves. Also, for bigger sizes, you need to repeat rows 2-9. The best way to make the shrug in the size you need is to keep trying the crochet piece on.

1. Make 168 st Sc foundation chain

2. Ch2 (does not count as a dc), dc in same st, dc in next 167sts, turn

3. Ch2, dc in same st, *ch1, sk st, dc in next st* repeat to end, finish with dc in last st, turn

4. Ch2, dc in same st, dc in every st, and ch1 to end, turn

5. Ch2, dc in same st, dc in every st to end, turn,

6. Ch2, dc in same st, *ch3, sk 3sts, dc in next 3sts* repeat to the end, finishing with dc in last 2sts, turn,

7. Ch2, dc in same st, dc in next st, 3dc in ch3sp,

*ch3, 3dc in ch3sp* repeat, finish with dc in last st, turn

8. ch2, dc in same st, *ch3, 3dc in ch3sp* repeat to end,

Finish with ch3, sk3sts, dc in last 2sts, turn

9. ch2, dc in same st, dc in every st, and 3dc in every ch3sp to end, turn

10. repeat row 2 – 9 x3

11. repeat row 2 – 4, do not finish, leave a long yarn tail

Now,  make sleeves and cuffs for the lacy shrug

Fold the crochet piece in half lengthwise, right side together, thread a yarn needle with the yarn tail, and using mattress stitch, sew together toward the center 30 stitches. Finish and weave the yarn end. Repeat on the other side of the piece.

1. (RS) Join yarn with a sl st into any stitch at the bottom of the sleeve and ch3 (it works as a dc), dc evenly around the bottom edge of the sleeve, sl st to the top of ch3. You should have 72 dc.

2.  ch3, *dc2together, dc in next 2 sts* x18, sl st to the top of ch3,

3. ch3, *dc2together, dc in next st* x18, sl st to the top od ch3. Finish and weave the yarn end.
