This fun DIY Easter egg decor project is super easy to do. You can use a variety of felt and embroidery thread colors. I’m sure you have plenty of little buttons to use for this Easter felt decor project. Instead of embroidering, you can use various ribbons and glue them onto the felt egg bases. What you need for DIY Easter egg decor ornament

sharp detailed scissors

cotton cord 2mm

fiberfill

buttons
-
ribons

hot glue gun (optional)

Step 1. Gather all the supplies that you’ll need for the DIY Easter egg decor project.
Step 2. Using the egg templates and sharp scissors, cut out the eggs from the felt. You’ll need two felt egg bases for one egg ornament. Also, cut out the specific pattern you’d like to use.
Step 3. Embroidery thread and needle, embroider patterns on each egg base. Use a back stitch for the pattern embroidery. Also, sew on some small buttons for your liking. Cut about 6 inches long cotton cord and make a knot with the raw ends.
Step 4. Align the two embroidered egg bases wrong sides together and pin in a few places. Place the cotton cord loop between the egg felt layers on top of the egg. Using a matching color thread and blanket stitch, stitch the egg layers together. Right before finishing stitching around, fill the egg with some fiberfill. Then, stitch the opening closed.
Step 5. Use different embroidery patterns from the printed templates. And follow steps 4 to finish the egg ornaments.
Step 6. If you’d like, use a hot glue gun and ribbons to make some of the DIY Easter egg decor ornaments. Then, follow Step 4 to finish the egg ornaments.
