One of them is, that I made a lady gnome. And the other is, that I turned her pattern into a crochet gnome ornament. below, I’ll show you how to make both gnomes crochet projects.

First, let’s learn how to crochet a gnome for the Christmas wreath!
Head

2: 2sc in each sc around (12)
3: (2sc in next sc, sc in next sc) x6 (18)

Now, cut the yarn, leaving a long tail, and sew the opening closed. If you are planning to make a Christmas tree ornament, leave the yarn tail; otherwise, finish it and snip it.
Beard
With the head top facing you slip stitch white yarn into an sc top st in 5th row from the top.
Ch1 to stabilize the yarn, then Ss into next sc top st holding the loop of yarn about 1” over your finger and sc. Repeat in every sc top st around in the next 3 rows.
Now, make the loops a little longer while crocheting the lady gnome. You need to be able to tie them into two piggytails on the sides.
Hat
1: ch2, 6sc in 2nd chain from the hook (6)
2: sc in each sc around (6)
3: 2sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc (7)

21: sc in next 4 sc, 2sc in next sc, sc in next 8 sc, 2sc in next sc, sc in next 8 sc, 2sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc (30)
Finally, stitch or hot glue all parts together.
If you are making a gnome ornament, weave the head yarn tail through the back of the hat and then glue the hat. Then, make a knot to secure it.
How to crochet a mistletoe
Using the green yarn and hook I 3.5mm
1: (Ch14, skip 5ch, dtr in next 2 ch, tr in next 2ch, dc in next 2 ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next 2 ch) x2
2: Ss in the remaining strand of first ch
3: ch9, skip 1ch and ss in the next 8ch.
Fasten off invisibly.
Stitch or hot glue the beads to the leaves
Now you have all the crochet wreath pieces, you can hot glue them together. Finally, using white yarn, make a loop to hang the wreath.
Looking at the finished wreath, I think it may also work as a crochet Valentine’s Day decor. Especially, by adding the gnome couple under the mistletoe.
You must check my post on the crochet lovebirds project, it is also a mix of Christmas and Valentine’s Day spirit decor.
