This DIY felt teacup bookmark is so much fun to make. You can choose a mix of felt colors and felt scraps. Use only two threads from the embroidery strand to stitch the felt pieces together. Also, you can use a blanket or whip embroidery stitch for this project. Follow a DIY felt apple bookmark, a step-by-step tutorial
Step 1. Download the free templates for a DIY felt teacup bookmark from my library and gather all materials. Cut out the templates and cut all the pieces out of felt.
Step 2. Cut about 12 inches of brown ribbon. Glue one end of the ribbon between two spout pieces, right on top of the spout. Stitch the spout pieces together. Next, stitch the heart piece to the one teapot’s belly piece. Stitch the two handle pieces together.
Step 3. Pin the spout and handle between the two belly pieces and stitch together.
Step 4. Pin the stitched belly between the two lid pieces and stitch them together.
Step 5. Embroider MOM on one of the cup pieces. Glue the other end of the ribbon to the top of the embroidered cup piece. Pin the brown tea piece and stitch it to the cup piece. Also, stitch together the two cup handle pieces. Finally, pin the handle between the two cup pieces and stitch together.
And done! How cute is that teacup and teapot bookmark? It makes a perfect handmade Mother’s Day gift idea.
