Now, let’s gather all the pieces together to make an easy crochet lovebirds cake stand décor!
First, you need to make warm hats using fleece and a hot glue gun.
Step 1. Cut out a 8×4” rectangle out of fleece and make sure the fabric stretch goes longwise. It’s important because it makes it easier to glue the hat to the easy crochet lovebird body.
Fold the rectangle in half right side together and align the short edges. Put some hot glue along the right side along the short edge and press with the top of the folded rectangle.
Step 3. Get one of the open sides of the glued hat piece and fold the edge about ½” to the wrong side of the fabric. Hot glue the folded edge putting some glue between the fabrics.
Step 4. Turn the hat piece right side out and make cuts around the other open side.
Step 5. Cut a long piece of thread and fold it twice in half. Lay the thread down under the hat piece right beneath the cuts and make a knot. You just made a nice warm hat with a pom-pom for your easy crochet lovebirds.
Step 6. Use a hot glue gun to glue all the pieces to the crochet ball starting with the feet heart and you are done! Look at those cute easy crochet lovebirds!
