Follow my chicken ornament felt sewing pattern with step-by-step tutorial
Step 1. Gather all the materials and print out the chicken ornament templates from my resource library. Using detailed scissors, cut out all the felt pieces.

Step 2. First, sew the wings to the body pieces by sewing on a small button to the top of the wing. Also, sew on the white eye circles with the black bead buttons.
Step 3. Cut about 20″ of orange embroidery thread. Weave the end of the thread through two buttonholes. Spread the buttons about 8″ apart and make a knot with the thread ends.

Cut the access thread tails and make knots as close as possible to the buttons.
Step 4. Cut 8″ of the cord and make a knot with the raw ends. Put the body pieces’ left sides together and pin all the other chicken pieces in between the body pieces. Using a blanket stitch, stitch the pieces together.
Before stitching the chicken ornament closed, stuff it with a bit of fiberfill. Finish up with pushing the needle through the body and cut the thread off.
That’s it! You made a chicken ornament decor. It’s a rooster version. If you’d like to make a hen version, use the same templates but make the tail feathers stick out less. That means shorter.
