Are you ready to learn how to attach a duvet inside a duvet cover?
Step 1. Cut eight pieces of ribbon, 2″ long each.
Step 2. Fold each piece in half and pin. Now, they look like tags. Two layers of the ribbon, will give a nice thickness to attach the snaps.
Step 3. Stitch the raw edges together using a zig-zag stitch. Doing that will protect the ribbon from fraying. I stitched the tags one right after the other. It saves you time. Now, cut the thread between the tags to separate them.
Step 4. Turn the duvet cover inside out. Lay the upper edge flat and pin four tags. Make sure two of the tags are close to the corners. Stitch using a straight stitch. Lay the duvet upper edge next to the cover. Pin four tags to the edge of the duvet, approximately in alignment with the cover tags. Stitch.
Step 5. Using the snap pliers install the sockets on four tags of the cover, and the studs on four tags of the duvet. Vice versa is fine, it doesn’t really matter.
Step 6. Snap them together and get the duvet inside the duvet cover as you usually would do. There, problem solved! You can’t see or feel the snaps inside the cover and what is most important the duvet stays put.
