I always make sure my kids wear hats. Most boys like baseball caps, so does my teenage son. They are content with a basic wardrobe, unlike my three-year-old girly girl. She already has a say, what she likes to wear and what she won’t wear. There was a time she was into her brother’s baseball cap… go figure!
My reversible newsboy hat sewing pattern is a great idea for a stylish summer hat. I designed it that you can sew it with two different fabric colors/prints and make it reversible! It will perfectly cater to my little girl’s wide range of wardrobe. What you need for reversible newsboy hat sewing pattern 1-10 years old size

1/3 of a yard cotton fabric- 2 different prints (I used Denim Chambray light wash fabric and Polka Dots in Blue).

Pellon 931TD Fusible Interfacing 10”x 10” piece for the visor,

P44F JAS Fusible interfacing 12”x 3” piece for bands,
Tip: DO NOT use any interfacing for the crown pieces. I made that mistake. When I made this hat for the first time, I used interfacing on the crown pieces. The hat came out heavy, stiff, and the fabric looked wrinkled.
Tip: You can use fabrics on the opposite sides of the color wheel. Thread your sewing machine with a thread that matches one fabric and wind the bobbin with a thread that matches the second fabric. Make sure the needle thread tension is correctly adjusted.
